Skill Level: Easy


Materials:

Hook: 4.5 mm or size to match gauge and a 4mm or hook .5 smaller than the size used to match gauge

Yarn: Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton (3.5oz, 99 g / 180 yards/ 164.5 meters)

Stitch Marker

Scissors

Darning Needle

Abbreviations:

CH(s) - chain

DEC- decrease

HDC- half double crochet

SC- single crochet

SL ST - slip stitch

ST(s) - stitch(es)

TC- triple crochet


Gauge:

1”/2.5cm x "/2.5cm= 4 HDC STs and 3 HDC rows


Pattern:

Using a 4.5 mm crochet hook (or hook size to match gauge), make a magic circle.

Round 1: HDC in center of circle 9 times. (9)

Rounds 2: INC in each ST around. (18)

Rounds 3: *INC, HDC*, repeat around. (27)

Round 4: *INC, HDC, HDC* repeat around. (36)

Round 5: *INC, HDC, HDC, HDC* repeat around. (45)

Round 6: *INC, HDC, HDC, HDC, HDC* repeat around. (54)

Rounds 7: *INC, HDC, HDC, HDC, HDC, HDC* repeat around. (63)

Round 8: INC, HDC in next 30 STs, INC, HDC in remaining 31 STs. (65)

Rounds 9-19: HDC in each ST around. (65)

Switch to a 4mm crochet hook (or .5 mm below the hook you used for the first 19 rows)

Round 20: HDC 3 times in each ST around. (195)

Round 21: HDC in each ST around (195).

Round 22: HDC in each ST around until you are at the last ST. SC in last ST. (195)

Round 23: SL ST in each ST around. Cut yarn. Finish off with an invisible join. (195)


For the flower:

Using a 4mm (or .5mm smaller than hook size used to match gauge).

Make a magic circle and place 6 SC through the middle. SL ST to connect. (6 SC, 1 SL ST). Round 1: (SC, TC, TC, SC) in first ST. Repeat (SC, TC, TC, SC) in each ST around including SL ST. (7)
