PATTERN

Chain 3

Row 1: Slip stitch in 2nd chain from hook and in the next chain. (2)

Row 2-39: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each stitch across. (2)

At the end of row 39, the strap should be approximately 11"/ 28cm. If it is not long enough, add additional rows.

Turn work 90 degrees. Slip stitch in the end of each row down the side. Refer to the picture above. The dots show where to place each stitch. The first slip stitch will go in what looks like a horizontal bar. The next slip stitch will go in the diagonal next to it.

Turn 90 degrees, and slip stitch in each chain at the bottom. The picture above shows where to place the stitches. Turn 90 degrees, and slip stitch up the other side.

Fold in half horizontally so the first and last row are touching. The v’s from the slip stitches should be facing out.

Row 40: Chain 1, single crochet through both ends to attach them together (2). Make the single crochet stitches through row 39, and the slip stitches on the other end. Refer to the image above. The slip stitches can be hard to see. They are on the back of the first row.

Row 41-44: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each stitch across. (2)

Finish off leaving a 6-inch tail.

Slide keychain clasp over rows 41-44. Fold row 44 to row 41. Refer to the image above.

Sew ends together by going back and forth for a total of 4 sewn stitches. Weave in ends.

All done, now time to attach your keys!
